If there is more than one shift, a screen prompting for the shift is displayed. If there is only one shift, this screen is automatically skipped.

Any of the previously listed devices can be used to enter the shift. Even if it is different than the device used to enter the associate ID. For example, the associate ID could be scanned from an ID badge and the shift selected by mouse clicking one of the shift buttons.
