ProRep's Real-Time Interface
ProRep provides three different real-time interfaces that can be used to collect data directly from associates at the completion of each activity. Real-time entry is the best alternative in situations where time-stamped production data is not available for importation from a warehouse management, pick-to-light, time & attendance or other system. When importing data, the interfaces can also be used to record activities not captured by the other systems.
Each of the three interfaces is specifically tailored to a different work environment. Any or all of the methods can be used simultaneously. In each case, ProRep automatically records the stop time of the activity. The associates enter the activity codes, units produced and either pertinent data. Below is a short description of each interface:
Dedicated to a Single Associate |
Used in office environments where an associate has their own PC. The associate enters their ID only once at the beginning of the day and then enters the jobs as they are completed. |
Shared Workstation |
Used in a manner similar to a time clock. The workstation is available at any time for any associate to record an activity. Associates are not logged-in or tied to a workstation. They can use different workstations interchangeably. |
Dedicated to a Group |
Used where a group of associates are working together on a series of team activities. This is often the case on an assembly line. As the associates join the team they enter their associate ID. The jobs are entered as they are completed without the need to reenter the associate IDs. |
